Our Mission

Worship Passionately. Love Extravagantly. Witness Boldly.

Christ Methodist Church of Auburn exists to glorify God and follow His leading with joy and faith. Rooted in Scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit, we are committed to worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.

We aim to be a Spirit-led church that reflects Christ’s love, builds His Kingdom, and faithfully follows wherever God calls.

Born out of a deep love for God and His Church, Christ Methodist Church of Auburn began as a group of believers seeking to remain faithful to Scripture and the leading of the Holy Spirit. When concerns arose about the direction of the United Methodist Church, a team called Moving Forward was formed.

Despite many challenges, God’s call was clear—to step forward in faith. Though it was difficult to walk away, we trusted that His plans are always good.

In the months that followed, God continued to unite and strengthen our community. What began as a laity-led fellowship has grown into a joyful, Spirit-filled congregation now worshiping at Lee-Scott Academy with more than 400 in attendance. We are grateful for the leadership of our first senior pastor, Dr. Tony McCullough.

The Lord has recently blessed us with a new weekday ministry space at 1661 Shug Jordan Parkway Suite 505 in Auburn, and we look forward with hope and anticipation to where God will lead next.

At Christ Methodist Church of Auburn, we exist to glorify God, share His love, and follow His calling with joy and gratitude.

Come worship, praise, and serve with us.
God is good—and we give Him all the glory!

Wesleyan Beliefs

  • SCRIPTURE: We believe that scripture is the primary authority for faith; that all scripture is breathed out by God and is our foundation of Truth.
  • GRACE: We believe that God’s grace goes before us, awakening us to our need for salvation, forgives our sins and reconciles us to Him through faith in Christ, and continues to transform us into the likeness of Jesus.
  • MISSION: We believe that the mission of the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.
  • SACRAMENTS: We recognize the sacraments of Baptism, which signifies new birth and inclusion in God’s covenant, and Holy Communion, a means of grace through which believers encounter Christ’s presence and are spiritually nourished, both ordained by Christ.
